Here I am threading the needle with this big Fir tree. It is leaning heavily toward the logs on the left. They are processed and it is a risk that this tree I am falling will crush those valuable logs.  It was a dangerous move with no cover for me and could have been planned better with the wood loaded out before I got there. On the planning with drones side the drones can identify hazards for me in the trees or rot I can not see from the ground.  We can fly the blocks before harvesting starts, during each phase for progress reporting and then fly the slash you can see in this video for waste assessenent after logging is complete.  Chris and I have spent over 50 years combined knowledge in the Forests of BC in many positions from silviculture to hi-lead logging and finally both finishing off decades of Falling each.  We know how valuable this data and mapping can be for Logging.  Gilakasla'
